I hereby acknowledge that the College has adopted & implemented various rules & protocols regarding the Covid-19 virus pandemic.

Indoor masking will be required, regardless of vaccination status, for all students, faculty, staff, and guests when either of the following conditions occur:

● There are 25 or more active cases on-campus (as gathered and reported by the Campus Safety Office).

● Upshur County is in the “red” status according to the WVDHHR County Alert Map

The masking requirement is to remain in place until the active cases drop below 15 or when Upshur County moves out of the “red” status and a confirming communication is sent to the campus community.  Mask communications will only be sent, via e-mo and text message, when a status change occurs. The event sponsor will notify all visitors/participants of the current status of the College’s masking policy.

Unvaccinated Campus Community Members and Guests: Indoor masking will continue to be required for all unvaccinated students, faculty, and staff unless alone in a room or office or when eating at a table in the dining hall.  Certain classes, offices, and campus organizations may require indoor masking and protocols at any time for the protection of the group or any individuals within the group.  At any time, the College may decide to require masking for all Campus Community members outside of these protocols. This policy shall remain in effect until further notice. As a reminder, the CDC recommends wearing the most protective mask that you can. When possible, KN-95 and N-95 masks and well-fitting three-ply disposable surgical masks have proven most effective.

I further understand that in any event that I breach any of the College’s rules or protocols that I will be asked to immediately leave the WVWC campus. I further understand that I am first and foremost responsible for my own health and safety, & I shall not under any circumstances deem WVWC to be responsible in any event that I contract the Covid-19 virus. I expressly release WVWC & all of the College’s administrators, employees, agents, representatives, students, other guests & visitors, & all other WVWC associated persons &/or entities whomsoever or whatsoever from any liability should I contract the Covid-19 virus. I further understand that I will be required to complete a new acknowledgment & Release form each time I enter upon the WVWC campus.
